Evangeline Ang
Biography
After having spent two decades focused on her family's business, Evangeline Ang embarked on her creative journey to translate her fascination for nature, light, colours and textures into creations on canvas.
Since her journey started, she has exhibited locally in Singapore and was awarded as finalist at the Angelico Art Award 2022 with her submission successfully bidded at the event's online auction. In 2022, she also exhibited at Art Expo New York, Art Sante Fe, Art Expo Dallas and Red Dot Miami and in Hong Kong and Turkey. The year 2023 kicked off with her work being selected to be exhibited at Art Wynwood presented by Art Miami.
Following Art Wynwood, Ang's artworks were amongst a curated selection to be showcased at New York’s iconic luxury store Bergdorf Goodman where one piece was sold to a top collector. She had also sold artworks at the Affordable Art Fair Singapore in 2023. In the same year, Ang's work was also commissioned by a reputed hotel chain in the Dominican Republic and exhibited at the Context Art Miami show during Miami Art Week.
Her artworks have been collected locally and internationally.

Evangeline : “Art calms the mind & soothes the soul. “
“I have always felt that behind everything obvious there is always the inconspicuous. Small details and big pictures go hand in hand. This holds true in life and is captured in my work as I explore different mediums to create layers and textures frolicking in a sea of colours. My artworks, when viewed from afar, capture the viewer's interest as my subjects are usually bold and vibrant and some are done with an optical illusion. When one looks up close and observes, a different experience emerges as the multitude of different colours hidden amongst the layers of textures bring on a different interest.
Collectors that acquired my pieces found my work intriguing and my hope is for viewers to enjoy my artworks as much as I enjoy creating them.”
個人簡介
從讀書時期開始，Evangeline已很喜歡藝術。經營家族生意20年後， 她開啟了自己的藝術旅程，釋放了她的慾望，將她對大自然、光、顏色和質感的想像演繹到畫布創作上。
開展了藝術旅程後不久，Evangeline已在新加坡國內參與展覽，並於Angelico Art Award 2022 中獲選為最終入圍者，其上載於網上的作品也成功地被競投。同年，她亦於美國Art Expo New York, Art Sante Fe, Art Expo Dallas , Red Dot Miami, 香港及土耳其展覽。2023年伊始，她的作品再被選中於Art Miami舉辦的Art Wynwood中參展。
Art Wynwood以後，她的作品再獲選進了策展人精選系列，展出於紐約標誌性的奢侈品百貨公司Bergdorf Goodman，其中一件作品更被頂級藏家收藏了。同時，多明尼加共和國一著名連鎖酒店亦委託她創作了數件藝術品。後於2023年底被納入Miami Art Week 的 Context Art Miami中參展，完成了Evangeline這一年的活動。

“我常覺得每樣顯眼的東西都隱藏着不顯眼的，微小的細節跟整個大景像是並行的。我的作品正是捕捉這種真實的人生狀況，以不同媒介探索，讓創作出的層次和質感在豐富的顏色世界中互相嬉戲着。我的作品從遠處看時，能捕捉觀賞者的視覺，因為我繪畫的東西大部份都强烈地、充滿活力地呈現着，有些還造出了視覺幻象。而走近觀察時，於層次和質感中隱藏的大量色彩卻會產生另一種體驗和吸引。
收藏家認為我的作品引人入勝，我亦希望觀賞者享受我的作品，猶如我享受創作它們一樣。”
